What Are The Requirements For The Waters Where Paddleboarding Is Carried Out

May 06, 2024

Paddle sports can be played in various water bodies, but when engaging in formal paddle sports, there are actually certain requirements for the water body:
According to the "Management Measures for Professional Skills Training of National Surfing (Paddle Board) Projects (Trial)", it is recommended that when carrying out paddle board projects, the static water and marine environment surges should not exceed 0.2 meters, the river environment flow velocity should not exceed 0.3 meters per second, the water depth in the kneeling position rowing area should not be less than 0.5 meters, and the water depth in the standing position rowing area should not be less than 1.2 meters to avoid accidents in falling into the water.
In addition, stay away from rapids and dangerous shoals. If there are fixed waterways or ship docks in the rowing water, maintain a distance of at least 50 meters. If it is the first time visiting unfamiliar waters, one should travel together. In case of rainstorm, lightning and thunder, go ashore immediately. Also, paddle enthusiasts must avoid playing in drinking water sources and water areas where water safety signs clearly prohibit water entry, and engage in civilized water friendly activities.
